Join us for extreme fun at Santa Barbara's only BYOB Wine & Dine! Enjoy an evening of outstanding food and wine tasting and sharing, in a highly social and energizing atmosphere. SpiritLand pairs a gourmet organic four-course meal with the wine theme of the month, and an industry expert entertains between courses. Our format is unique -- you bring the wine, no corkage! Last month we tasted 45 bottles of Rose during the evening! The theme for August is Viognier/Roussanne/Marsanne. Each couple (or individual) brings a nice bottle to share with everyone else during the first 45 minutes, complemented by the gourmet cheese course. Getting a small taste of 25+ bottles side-by-side is a unique opportunity as well as a great mingling activity. Then all attendees will be seated at large tables to encourage interaction for the remainder of the meal. Many attendees bring a second wine (again no corkage) to share with the table, to bring the total bottles tasted to 35-45! We are excited to have Jaffurs Wine Cellars to chat with us between courses to give some background on these 3 Rhone white varietals and to answer questions. Jaffurs will also bring a dessert wine to pair with the evening's dessert. The entree is Halibut in a coconu lemongrass sauce, with a vegetarian substitution.
