Grape Stomp – Orfila Vineyards & Winery, winner of more than 1,300 medals in national and international competition since 1994, hosts their biggest event of the year to celebrate the grape harvest -- Grape Stomp 2008. Held outdoors with majestic views of the vineyards and the San Pasqual Valley, guests celebrate the harvest Old World style by stomping their bare feet in barrels of juicy grapes. The annual celebration, including a full dinner buffet, dancing to live music, traditional grape stomping, wine tasting and winery tours, is 4 to 8 p.m., Aug. 30, at the winery. Orfila Vineyards is located at 13455 San Pasqual Road, Escondido, on the way to the Wild Animal Park. Always a sellout, tickets are available while supply lasts.
