Event Details

Recently there have been more editorials than usual in the wine publications about whether there really is a noticeable distinction between wines of the Old World (basically Western Europe) and wines of the New World (essentially everywhere else in the world). We will form our own opinions in this class when we taste 4 different grapes each session in pairs – one Old World, the other New World – and see if indeed one wine of each pair is fruiter, higher alcohol, a little more oak, etc. (New World style) or more earthy, higher acid, a little dryer, etc. (Old World style) Oh, did we mention the brown bags??
