| Splash Down™, a new wine brand from Winery by the Creek, will be released to the public for the first time Labor Day Weekend with a special culinary event and tasting. Splash Down wines are artfully crafted by the winemaker and proprietor Charles B. Mitchell. His love for outdoor adventure, travel and nostalgic aircraft grace the label art and are playfully addressed on the palate.
“Splash Down in the Foothills” event will be public event held at Winery by the Creek Saturday, August 30-Monday, September 1 - 11am-5pm. Each day the winery will be serving up authentic Latin American cuisine to pair with the Splash Down release. On Saturday, August 30th Charles B. Mitchell will be on hand to sign bottles of this inaugural release and first-in-series wine.
The 2007 Splash Down Reserve Zinfandel will be at the special celebration weekend price of $60/case (Reg. $120/case)! In addition to the Splash Down Sale, Winery by the Creek’s Way Red will also be specially priced at $60/case, a great wine to bring you into autumn!

Winery by the Creek is located in the village of Fair Play, California. Surrounded by the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains, this American Viticulture Area compares favorably to other fine wine making appellations around the world. Winery by the Creek is unique to the region with its state of the art wine cave, duly named The Fair Play Wine Cave. Inside the cave, guests can sample barrel futures while enjoying the ambiance and the staff’s wine country hospitality. The Fair Play Wine Cave can also be rented out for private events. Atop the winery on a grassy knoll wine club members and friends have access to a bocce ball court and a relaxing VIP area.
